“Not true,” Vanessa’s rep tells JustJared.com. Dare To Love Me, a film about Tango legend Carlos Gardel, is currently filming and stars Lindsay Lohan, Raoul Bova and Thomas Kretschmann. Alfonso Arau is directing the movie, which is set for a 2008 release. Vanessa was rumored to have been part of this film as her name is incorrectly listed on the Arclight Films theater website. Vanessa Hudgens has not joined the cast of musical drama Dare To Love Me.
A Disney representative told “Access Hollywood” that Vanessa Hudgens has not been fired after all, despite a recent report in “Ok!” magazine. The magazine had recently reported that Disney would not be asking Hudgens to return for the next “High School Musical” movie, counting more on the star power of Zac Efron, who Hudgens happens to be dating, to keep fans coming back for more. The magazine also mentioned possible replacements for Hudgens, including members of Disney pop group “Cheetah Girls.” However, a rep for Vanessa Hudgens set the story straight on the TV show, regarding the rumor, “Totally untrue. It is an old rumor, OK! magazine never bothered to fact check with me but they did call Disney who said it wasn’t true, but yet OK! ran it anyway. Apparently OK! magazine was having a slow news day.”
